Jerry Anderson contacted AirCrafters in
May 2002 about helping him with his Kitfox Outback Series V project. When Jerry
arrived, there were many problems apparent with he kit that needed attention.
While
stored for a year in Hawaii, severe corrosion has set in to all of the metal parts, and many
sections of the factory-built wood wings were damaged. AirCrafters cleaned and
re-powder-coated the fuselage frame, and repaired the wing structures. Next, the
wings and stabilizer were covered using the Polyfiber system, and the fuselage frame was
re-assembled. The firewall-forward installation has begun. Jerry's Kitfox
will be powered by a Rotax 912.
