Jerry Hodnefield first called on AirCrafters in August of 1998 to help him complete his
Glasair Super-IIS FT. This past February he called again with a thorny problem
-- his Ryan PT-22 fuselage skin was cracking at the rear-seat bulkhead and needed to be
repaired. The plane had also recently (and inadvertently) been landed on a
freshly-oiled runway, and the resultant spray had saturated the wing fabric and ruined
the paint. AirCrafters repaired the aluminum fuselage skin and had his Ryan
repainted in short order. A complete polishing of all the aluminum surfaces
topped off the project.
